Utrecht Central Plaza is an office building located on Jaarbeursplein, directly opposite Utrecht Central Station. RED Company and Ten Brinke are breathing new life into the building as well as the district.

The building —formerly known as ‘Hojel City Center II’— will undergo a complete renovation, sustainability upgrade, and expansion to a lettable floor area of over 22,000 m², including 57 parking spaces.

The brand-new Beurskwartier district

Utrecht Central Plaza is one of the largest projects within Utrecht’s Central Business District (CBD). It is part of the brand-new Beurskwartier district, which is being transformed from an outdated, impersonal, and monotonous office area into a vibrant quarter for living, working, and shopping. Due to its commercial functions and appealing character, it seamlessly blends into the city’s urban fabric and becomes accessible to its community, while simultaneously creating a pleasant and lively workplace atmosphere.

The ground floor area is given a commercial function

Alongside state-of-the-art Paris-Proof office floors, Utrecht Central Plaza will feature commercial amenities on the ground floor, such as a coffee bar and various retail spaces. The stunning atrium fosters collaboration and interaction among its users. This not only draws people into the area, but also makes for a warm, lively welcome to those heading to the office floors or simply enjoying a break.

The building will meet the highest sustainability standards, including BREEAM Excellent, WELL Gold, and Energy Label A++++. Additionally, the office design, with its large floor areas, provides optimal flexibility for office users, perfectly aligning with new, hybrid work styles for today and the future.

As of late 2026, Utrecht Central Plaza will primarily serve as the new headquarters of Volksbank. Our vision aligns seamlessly with the wishes and sustainability requirements of Volksbank. Exploratory discussions with various potential tenants are already underway for the remaining available floor space.
